Location and Venue

Main Conference

The main conference will be held in the Stephenson Building, within the School of Engineering at Newcastle University.

The Stephenson Building is located on our main campus, in the city centre.

Delegates should arrive at the building via the main entrance on Kensington Walk.

Registration, coffee and lunch breaks will be held in the main Atrium area of the building. 

Keynote presentations will be held in the Ground Floor Lecture Theatre G.006LT. 

Regular, parallel, sessions will be held on the first floor lecture theatres 1.010, 1.014 and 1.016. 

 

Drinks Reception, Sunday 6th September

The drinks reception (and early registration) on 6th September 2026 at 5-7pm is held in The Boiler House on the Newcastle University Campus. This is located on the main pedestrian area of our campus, close to the Student’s Union Building. It is a short walk from the main conference venue. See building 10 on the campus map.

Drinks will be provided by "Stubrew", our award winning, student-led brewery based in the School of Engineering at Newcastle. See https://stubrew.com/ 

 

Conference Dinner, Tuesday 8th September

The conference dinner is held in the ballroom at Newcastle Civic Centre, a short walk from the campus. The Dinner will begin at 7pm on the 8th of September.

Visitor Parking

The closest public parking to the Stephenson building is on-street parking on Kensington Terrace (approx. 1 minute walk from the Stephenson Building). A larger car park is available on Claremont Road (approx. 5 minute walk).
