Overview

This session explores self-awareness as a foundational component of development for both athletes and coaches. Rather than being taught directly, self-awareness is shaped through experience, reflection, and interaction within performance environments.

The talk will outline how coaches can develop their own self-awareness and provide practical strategies for supporting athletes in building their “inner coach”. Attendees will gain insight into how reflective practice and targeted activities can enhance learning, decision making, and personal growth across different levels of sport.
