Social Programme

We are looking forward to welcoming you to ICRM at Newcastle University. Besides the academic event, we are arranging the following social programme for you:

 

On Monday, 8th September, we will visit St. James’ Park, home of the Premier League club Newcastle United F.C. in the afternoon.

After the stadium tour, we will show you some attractions of Newcastle .

In the evening, we would like to welcome you with a Welcome Reception

 

We will have our Gala Dinner at Lumley Castle  on Tuesday.

A short coach transfer will take us to the magnificent spectacle of Lumley Castle. It is a monument to a bygone age of chivalry and honour and we will enjoy the evening with music and fine dining in this spectacular and unique location.

On Wednesday evening, we will walk to Blackfriars and will have a Medieval Banquet  in this historic restaurant.

Today it is known for its fine food and was voted the Taste of England Award in the North East England Tourism Awards, 2013.
