Jane Darke lives and works on a beach in Cornwall, UK. She studied at The Royal College of Art in London (1983-85) and has worked as a painter since then. She has made two documentaries, The Wrecking Season and The Art of Catching Lobsters. She wrote the narration for the second film and since its broadcast has been writing a book Held by the Sea about her life and Cornwall which will be published in the spring 2010 by Souvenir Press.
