Nuria Tapia-Ruiz is a Lecturer in Chemistry at Lancaster University since December 2016.

She obtained her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Glasgow in 2013. She conducted her postdoctoral work on battery materials at St. Andrews University and Oxford University before taking a lectureship position in Lancaster.

Her research group focuses on developing novel and improved battery materials used in monovalent and divalent chemistries and understanding their underlying structure-property relationships. She is also interested in developing in-situ and operando tools to monitor real-time battery processes. She is a member of the Alistore European battery network and the STFC UK battery network.
