Carl Ennis is an engineer with an interest in the future of energy in the UK, and a passion for building teams to help deliver it.

Carl is Managing Director of Products & Systems within Siemens Smart Infrastructure in the UK and Ireland, a business focused on intelligently connecting energy systems, buildings and industries, enhancing the way we live and work to significantly improve efficiency and sustainability.

He grew up in Rochdale, has a degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and is based in the North East. Having started his career as an apprentice with Whipp & Bourne Switchgear, he is a strong supporter of vocational training within the engineering sector.

Carl has significant experience of the UK and global energy markets, having worked in the industry for thirty years. In almost twenty years with Siemens he has held numerous senior management positions, both in the UK and overseas.
