Sophie is part of the recruitment team for the Psychological Insights into Coaching Practice conference. In this role, she helps identify and connect with potential speakers, including academics, coaches and athletes, to ensure the programme reflects a diverse range of expertise and perspectives. This experience has strengthened her professional communication skills and deepened her engagement with the applied sport psychology community.

She brings additional insight from her background as a swimming coach and former national-level athlete, and her interest in sport psychology continues to grow. Currently completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology, she is preparing to progress onto her master’s, with the long-term goal of undertaking Stage 2 training to become HCPC registered. Her ambition is to work with elite swimmers during and after their full-time athletic careers and to contribute to the performance pathway at Aquatics GB.
