Workshop Location
The Newton-Q Workshop will be held in the Stephenson Building (STB), room G.006LT, at Newcastle University. The building is located on the main university campus, close to Exhibition Park and within easy walking distance of the city centre.

By Train
Newcastle Central Station is a major rail hub with direct services from London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and other UK cities. The Stephenson Building is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the station, or a short taxi journey.
By Air
Newcastle International Airport is around 25 minutes from the city centre by Metro or taxi. Regular flights operate to and from major UK and international cities.
By Metro or Bus
The nearest Metro station is Haymarket, located within a short walking distance of the venue. Numerous bus routes also stop near Haymarket and Barras Bridge, both close to the university campus.
By Car
Parking on campus is very limited. The nearest public car parks include Claremont Road Car Park and city centre options near Haymarket. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
Accommodation
The Stephenson Building is located close to the northern edge of Newcastle city centre, with many accommodation options within walking distance. Suitable nearby hotels include:
- Motel One Newcastle (city centre, ~15 min walk)
- Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel (near St James’ Park, ~10-15 min walk)
- Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter (~20 min walk or short taxi)
- Jesmond Dene House (quieter location, short taxi ride)
