Newton-Q 2025

The third Newton-Q Workshop was held in 2025 and brought together researchers from academia and industry to explore recent developments in quantum technologies and their practical implementation.

The programme featured invited talks and discussions spanning quantum communication, emerging hardware platforms and post-quantum security. Particular emphasis was placed on bridging theoretical advances with real-world applications and strengthening collaboration across disciplines.

Our second annual workshop took place in September 2024 and focused on:

The inaugural Newton-Q Workshop was held in September 2023, launching an inter-school initiative to promote collaboration across quantum science, computing and cyber security.

It featured invited talks and research presentations focused on laying the groundwork for Newcastle’s growing engagement with quantum and post-quantum research and innovation.
