Eftychia holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia, Greece. She completed an MSc in Management at Staffordshire University, UK and an MSc in Information Technology and Management at Aristotle University, Greece. She worked as a research assistant in the Greek parliament and as a special assistant in the Post-Olympic business administration-EQUAL European Programmes in Greece.

Eftychia is currently a PhD researcher in entrepreneurship at the Newcastle University Business School, with a particular research interest in Cognitive processes in entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial education, Entrepreneurial teams, Social entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial orientation and performance. Eftychia has a teaching experience in the Vocational Scholarship Institution in Greece, specialized in the field of accounting and finance in virtual environments. She has also a teaching experience in quantitative research methods, enterprising entities and the entrepreneurial self, and project management at Newcastle University.

She is currently a co-ordinator in the Marketing, Operations and Systems (MOS) group seminars and an assistant in the organising committee of the International Colloquium on Relationship Marketing (ICRM) 2014.
