Getting There
On foot: Discovery Museum is located in Newcastle City Centre, a 5-minute walk away from the train station and all of the city centre’s amenities.
By car: There is limited parking on Blandford Square and the closest multi-storey is Grainger Town car park on Waterloo Street (NE1 4DN), over the road from the museum. By train: Discovery Museum is a 5 minute walk away from Newcastle’s Central Station. Exit the station and turn left. Proceed down Neville Street, passing the Centre for Life on your left. Cross over St James’s Boulevard, where you will see the museum directly ahead.
By public transport: The nearest Metro stop to the Museum is Central, within the train station – follow the directions above. Discovery Museum is a 13 minute walk away from Newcastle’s Bus Station at Eldon Square shopping centre, through the city centre. By air: Newcastle International Airport is located on the outskirts of the city and is well connected by local transport links, with Metros running every 12 minutes from the airport directly to the city centre (around a 25 minute journey).
