Code of Conduct

The Creative Fuse Conference is a celebration and showcase of the North East's creative, collaborative community, and has been designed as an event for a wide and varied audience. All of our delegates, speakers, suppliers and colleagues should feel welcome, safe and comfortable throughout the event. To ensure this, we have written a code of conduct, and ask all attendees to adhere to these guidelines.

The Quick Version

The Creative Fuse Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, race, religion, or sexual orientation. We will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any aspect of the conference, including talks, workshops, networking events, or online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the Creative Fuse Conference at the discretion of the organisers.

If you experience any harassment, or would like to discuss any concerns at any time, please approach a member of the Conference Team - identifable by Creative Fuse T-Shirts or purple lanyards - and we will investigate the issue quickly and sensitively.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Harassment also includes sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other Conference events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to do so immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the Conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including verbal warnings or expulsion from the Creative Fuse Conference.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of the Conference Team immediately. The Conference team can be identified by their Creative Fuse T-shirts, or purple Creative Fuse lanyards.

The Conference Team will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local police, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel sage for the duration of the conference.

We value your attendance, and want to make the Creative Fuse Conference a positive experience for all of our delegates.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference sessions and conference-related social events, including the evening entertainment, drinks reception, and conference dinner.
