Keynote Speakers and Programme

Margarita Correia (Universidade de Lisboa)

Margarita has been a lecturer Departamento de Linguística Geral e Românica da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa (FLUL) since 1990 and an assistant professor since 2000. At the Institute for Theoretical and Computational Linguistics (ILTEC) She was a researcher at Instituto Linguística Teórica e Computacional (ILTEC) (1992-2014), researcher in charge (2010-2014) and president of the board (2012-2014). She has been the coordinator of the Portal da Língua Portuguesa since 2010 and a researcher at CELGA-ILTEC since 2015. With José Pedro Ferreira, she coordinated the projects VOP - Vocabulário Ortográfico do Português) and Lince - Conversor para a Nova Ortografia (2010), VOP - Vocabulário Ortográfico do Português, 2nd edition (2017). Together with José Pedro Ferreira, Gladis de Barcellos Almeida and Inês Machungo, she was a member of the core team for VOC- Vocabulário Ortográfico Comum da Língua Portuguesa (CPLP/IILP, 2017).  She was President Conselho Científico do Instituto Internacional da Língua Portuguesa (2018-2022). She has been the Director of Programa em Português como Língua Estrangeira / Língua Segunda (FLUL) since 2023.

Neide Takahashi (CELACC - USP)

Neide holds a PhD in Humanities (Language and Literature) from Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH/USP).  She works as a lecturer and researcher at Centro de Estudos Latino-Americanos sobre Cultura e Comunicação (CELACC) and is a member of Grupo de Estudos de Português para Falantes de Outras Línguas (GEPFOL) at the University of São Paulo. Her teaching focuses on Portuguese as an additional language and the reading and production of academic texts in postgraduate courses. Her research interests include literary reading, teaching materials, and intercultural processes involved in the teaching and learning of Portuguese for speakers of other languages. She has published articles, given talks, and conducted workshops on these topics.
