FMOCS IV - PoCheMoN

Welcome!

We are excited to announce the fourth in the “Frontiers in Metal Oxide Cluster Science” international symposia, which follows previous successful conferences in Jerusalem (2010), Lanzarote (2012) and Maffliers (2014).

By combining this event with the final major meeting of COST Action 1203 “Polyoxometalate Chemistry for Molecular Nanoscience” (PoCheMoN) we aim to maximize participation and provide a stimulating environment for intellectual as well as social interaction.

The meeting will cover a wide range of polyoxometalate and related science within the general themes of:

  • Catalysis and energy;
  • Molecular electronics and nanomagnetism;
  • Biological applications;
  • Fundamentals and emergent systems.

The meeting will be held at Newcastle University, which is situated in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, from Sunday July 10th to Thursday 14th 2016 and will be limited to ~100 participants. In addition to invited talks of 25 min, there will also be communications of 15 min, short communications of 5 min (mainly associated with Short-Term Scientific Meetings that have been funded by PoCheMoN), and posters.

The conference dinner and poster session will be held on Wednesday evening, July 13th in the Discovery Museum, which is close to the University and St. James Park football stadium.

We look forward to seeing you in Newcastle in July.
