Augmented Reality (AR) in Education: The vision and the reality @ 2pm - 3:30pm in the Etal Room

Augmented reality (AR) is increasing being used in advertising, entertainment, medicine and military applications. In education, the vision presented is of AR offering great potential, however the reality of how AR tends to be implemented in educational settings does not, at present, always live up to this.

In this session we consider issues affecting the potential uses of AR in education beyond information provision, as well as the learner (user) experience. We will facilitate open discussion, as well as providing the opportunity to experience AR via your own smart-device.
