Heterosexuality and Collective Sex Environments

This is a limited numbers forum designed to gather people together with experience or interest in researching or thinking about heterosexuality and collective sex environments. You might have an interest at a broader level for example in theorising heterosexual collective sex environments, the methodological challenges of researching such sexual spaces and/or the analytical challenges of making sense of hetero-eroticism. At the same time, I would like to hear from those who have a research interest in swinger communities, sex parties, sex festivals and swinger clubs themselves. The aim is to bring together those who might share similar interests and might wish to work on future research, writing projects, or events in the future. The forum welcomes established researchers, PhD students, Early Career researchers and anyone who works in the area more generally.

The forum will be held at Newcastle University 12.00 pm – 4.00 pm on Thursday 9th March. There is a small travel and accommodation budget; the selection for that support will be on a first come / first served basis.

Please drop me an email with a short summary of how your research interest connects with the proposed forum and I’ll get back to you:

Looking forward to hearing from anyone with similar interests!
