This ground-breaking event will take place 12-14 September 2024 at Newcastle University and will also be accessible in 'light-hybrid' mode. It will bring together translation studies scholars and professional translators (freelance and in-house) with academics and professionals from other fields (e.g. nursing, psychology, legal & accounting, coaching) to explore and discuss the complex relationship between ethics and self-care in contemporary practice (see event abstract below).

This event is designed to create a forum in which key industry stakeholders can discuss and develop ideas surrounding such a crucial aspect underpinning contemporary practice and examine the complex relationship between ethics and self-care.
