Optional excursion

At the conclusion of the Workshop (Sat., January 9), a free Cultural Tour will be offered by student volunteers from Kasetsart University. There are three options for the post-workshop tour:

Option A:       Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha

Catch a glimpse of the glorious Rattanakosin era at the wonderful Wat Pho and explore the beauty of this historical landmark, which houses one of Thailand's biggest Reclining Buddha and a great number of awe-inspiring Buddhist structures. Relax yourself with the world-renowned Thai traditional massage and you could end your enjoyable cultural trip with a mouthwatering set of Thai cuisine by the Chao Phraya River.

Option B:       Asiatique the Riverfront, near the Chao Phraya River

Embark on a river ferry to Asiatique, the now-trendy shopping and food destination. Amaze yourself with its excellent location by the Chao Phraya River that allows infinite photo opportunity. Shop till you drop while enjoying a great variety of food. If your trip is not adventurous enough, ride on Bangkok's biggest ferris wheels to enjoy the bird-eye view of this magnificent capital.

Option C:       Chatuchak Market, Bangkok Weekend Market

Make your trip to Bangkok a very fulfilling one with a visit to Chatuchak Market, touted as one of the world's largest outdoor weekend markets. Wander around this non-stop shopping paradise for everything the world can offer from pets to porcelain and hang out at one of many restaurants located throughout the area. The January cool weather may not apply when a host of tourists throng the place, but remember this is the charm and the reason why they are here.

Meeting place and time: In front of Thien Duong Restaurant at 14.15.

NOTE: Due to limited capacity, on-line reservation is strongly advised via navaporn.s@ku.ac.th by 3 January 2016.
