Compressible Convection Conference 2019

Monday 2nd to Friday 6th September 2019 - Newcastle University

This meeting is designed to bring together researchers from the stellar, planetary, atmospheric and deep-Earth research communities, who share an interest in convection and compressible fluid dynamics.  Following the successful meeting held in Lyon in 2017, this meeting will address the strengths and limitations of various models for compressible flows (Boussinesq, anelastic, pseudo-incompressible, etc.) and the role played by compressibility in waves, instabilities and turbulence.
