We are excited to host the 2025 Young Coastal Scientists and Engineers Conference (YCSEC) here in Newcastle on the 3rd-4th April 2025!

Who can/should attend?

If you are an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral researcher, or at an early stage in your career within industry, government, or consulting, and your work is related to coastal or nearshore science and/or engineering, this is the conference for you! The goal of YCSEC is to connect early, and some senior level, scientists in an informal, non-intimidating atmosphere, to foster networking and provide future opportunities for students and early-career scientists. And we are keen to highlight that not all of us are ‘young’ and that there is no age restriction for attendance at this conference - an early career stage and an interest in the coast are the defining factors!
