Prof Julie Sanders (10.20 - 11.00)

Julie became Deputy Vice-Chancellor in 2018 and is the Executive sponsor for the University's values-led work and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Social Justice, and Environmental Sustainability.

 Mr Dale Geach (15.00 - 15.30)

Dale is head of Innovation and Technology for the Siemens Smart Infrastructure division in the UK, specialising in cyber security in smart grids. Dale’sexpertise includes conceptualisation, technical design and delivery of digital solutions for secure energy system operations. Dale has worked for Siemens for over 14 years. Dale completed his MSc here in Newcastle on Power Distribution Engineering.

Dr Christopher Wood (15.30 - 16.00)

Chris is a research scientist at Power Roll Ltd. Chris is at the forefront of Power Roll’s PV development, leading core research on Power Roll’s solar technology. Chris has worked on solar technologies for over a decade. Completing a PhD and 1 year post-doctoral position studying dye-sensitised solar cells and other photo electrochemical devices under the supervision of Dr Elizabeth Gibson at the University of Nottingham and Newcastle University.
