The workshop will take place at Curtis Auditorium, located in the Herschel Building on the central campus of Newcastle University, within easy walking distance of Newcastle city centre.

The campus is compact and well integrated into the city, providing convenient access to transport links, accommodation and local amenities.

Getting Here

By Air

Newcastle International Airport is around 25 minutes from the city centre by Metro or taxi. Regular flights operate to and from major UK and international cities.

By Train

Newcastle Central Station is a major rail hub with:

  • direct services from London King’s Cross (approximately 3 hours)
  • regular connections from major UK cities including Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds

From the station, the university campus is:

  • a 15–20 minute walk or
  • a short taxi or metro journey

Local Transport

Newcastle benefits from an efficient public transport network:

  • Metro services connecting the airport, city centre and surrounding areas
  • extensive bus routes serving the university and nearby neighbourhoods
  • taxis and ride-hailing services readily available throughout the city
