Rachel Gordon

Rachel Gordon is a PhD qualified social researcher. Her PhD research was an ethnomethodological study of work practice and decision making in motorway control rooms. Since then she has held a number of posts at Durham University, working as a Research Associate on a smart energy project, a Research Fellow on a transport industry impact project and a NetworkFacilitator which involved managing a network of international academics working in the field of emergency and crisis. She is currently a Research Associate in the School of Arts and Cultures at Newcastle University. This involves in-depth qualitative research around credit, debt and digital devices. She also runs her own business which helps schools and charities in the UK to find and apply for grants. She has helped organisations raise thousands of pounds of additional funding for a range of projects from building renovations and staffing costs to outdoor developments.
