Dr Katherine Cooper

“The Wilderness Years”: The Highs and Lows of the Academic Job Market

Katherine Cooper is Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia and one of this year’s BBC/AHRC New Generation Thinkers. She gained her PhD in English from Newcastle University in 2013. She is currently working on a book which looks at the ways in which British writers helped refugees during the World Wars and interwar period. She has published on Storm Jameson, refugees and asylum and literary culture during World War Two.
