ScARF sponsorship for students/ECRs

We are pleased to annouce that DIG2017 will be sponsored by the Scottish Archaeological Research Framework (ScARF). Students and early career researchers presenting papers and posters on topics related to Scottish archaeology can apply for a ScARF bursary, which will cover the cost of their attendence at the conference (registration fees + travel up to £150). In return applicants are asked to provide a short summary of their research for the ScARF archaeological science case studies reports. This is a great opportunity to reach a wider audience for your research and to contribute to an important resource for Scottish archaeology.

Students/ECRs attending the conference and working on non-Scottish topics may also apply for a busrary, if they are willing to write a short review/report on the conference for the ScARF student network. Examples of these reports can be found here. Recipients will also be asked to help with social media (e.g. live Tweeting).

Applicants will be required to register in the usual way, and will be given a form to claim back their expenses.

To apply for either of these bursaries, please send a short email to dig2017conference@gmail.com with the subject ScaRF Bursary, including proof of eligible status.

Note - whilst abstract submissions have closed, ScARF sponsorship means that we are able to offer an additional 5 places for poster presentations related to Scottish archaeology (in addition to those that have already been accepted).
