Getting to Newcastle

Newcastle Airport is connected to most European hub, Schipol, Heathrow and Paris CDG. The airport is on the metro a light rail system
Travelling to Newcastle city centre
The journey from the airport to Newcastle city centre (Haymarket - for Newcastle University, Monument or Central Station) takes around 25 minutes. There are trains every 12 minutes from approximately 5.44am (Sundays 6.27am) to 11.58pm.

By Train
Newcastle Central Station is situated on the east coast main line linking England and Scotland. It is directly accessible from London King's Cross, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The journey from London King's Cross takes about three hours.
Taxis are available immediately outside Newcastle Central Station.
A Metro station is also located in Central Station.
From Central Station, it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the University campus, or about 5-10 minutes to walk to Grey's Monument and the main shopping areas.
Conference Venue
The conference registration and plenary session are being held in the Great North Museum. The Great North Museum is within the campus of Newcastle University and a map of the campus showing the location of the museum can be downloaded below.
