  •    British Council Researchers link Workshop:“Advanced Digital Manufacturing for Industrial Development” (2-3 June, 2015)

This 2 day workshop is directed to Early Career Researches and academics currently active in any field of Additive Manufacturing /3D printing, who would like to share their main research interest with other peers from Mexico and the UK. The 2 day workshop will include space for individual presentations, networking, industrial visits lo relevant industrial centres and briefing on further collaboration avenues between Mexico and UK researchers.  The requirements to attend this workshop are: 1) Being an Early Career Researcher (ECR): Having a PhD/postgraduate degree level and/or equal industrial experience, with less than 10 years after obtaining the relevant title.  2) Researchers must be based in Mexico or the UK and all nationalities are welcome to apply. Both academic and research institutions are equally considered.  The workshop organization will cover all related costs: Transport (UK-Mexico-UK flights), accommodation, diets, local transportation and social activities.   The event will take place at CIATEQ- Queretaro, Mexico; at the heart of Mexico's aerospace corridor. Please refer to the other sections for further location details.  Attendance to the full workshop is FREE, but places are limited to 20 delegates. The organizing committee will evaluate and inform the selected candidates on the basis on their application form and scientific history.

Eligibility Criteria:

 

Applications must be in English and submitted using the Researcher Links Application Form‌‌. The abstract that potential candidates will submit as part of the application form should be in the range of between 150 and 300 words.
Participants must be early career researchers: Early Career Researchers are defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience on areas related to the main themes of the workshop) and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. They are equivalent to the ‘Recognised Researcher’ and sometimes ‘Experienced Researcher’ categories in the EU framework for researchers’ careers.
Participants must have a research or academic position (either a permanent post, research contract, or fellowship, etc.) at a recognised research institution either in the UK or in Mexico.
Quality Assessment:

 

Experience and relevance of the applicant’s research area to the workshop
Motivation and contribution to the aims of the workshop
Description of the long term impact expected through the participation in the workshop
Ability to disseminate workshop’s outcomes
