Membership benefits

The following are some of the benefits of ACP/UKSMO membership:

  • Annual event for trainee members
  • For new consultants and trainees in their final year of training, the ACP holds an annual weekend for new consultants (usually in March), which is free to attend
  • Bi-monthly newsletters with information on forthcoming events, jobs and research opportunities 
  • For trainees preparing for the SCE in Medical Oncology, the ACP has published a new evidence-based resource of 500 SBA practice questions to aid revision.  Details here and available to members at a discounted price of £25+P&P
  • Publication of a series of prize-winning case study books.  Recent titles include a timely publication on Problem Solving in Acute Oncology, and books on Cancer and Fertility and Interventional Oncology.  Details of all the books are here​​ and and members are entitled to a 25% discount
  • Monthly webinars held on Zoom.  The webinars are recorded and available to ACP members in the EBN e-library (see below). Listing of recent webinars here.
  • An e-library in partnership with EBN Health.  Members can access electronic versions of the ACP publications, in addition to full recordings of all the webinars.   • Discounted ESMO membership.   • For trainee members, the ACP offers an annual President's Prize and McElwain prizes for research
