The excursion includes a guided tour of the Private State Rooms (approximately 45 minutes), home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, as well as one of the finest art and furniture collections in the country, including works by Titian, Van Dyck and Canaletto, and an extensive Meissen and Paris porcelain collection.
Depart Newcastle 09:30, minibus from the Devonshire Building car park at the rear of Great North Museum: Hanock.
Return to Newcastle upon Tyne at approximately 16:30.
Cost £54 (including VAT): includes entry, tour and transport.
Lunch is not included. However, there are several places to eat, including the Courtyard Cafe in the Castle, or the Pavilion and the Treehouse in the Garden. Delegates may need to book in advance for the Treehouse Restaurant.
