Signing. To date we have not received any requests for sign language support. We had booked two signers for SS15. However, they have requested that we release them for other needs should their support not be needed. If anyone does need sign language support for SS15 please contact the Organising Committee without delay!

An reminder email containing SS15 information (re. registration, bursaries, PG Workshop etc.) was sent to all presenters yesterday. If you are a presenter but have not received this message, please email: ss15@ncl.ac.uk including your ID number in the subject line. You can read the contents of the reminder email message as a pdf file.

The Organising Committee are pleased to announce that we will be able to offer a small number of bursaries for delegates from economically disadvantaged countries. For further details please use the 'bursaries' link on the main menu above.

The deadline for applications for postgraduate bursaries has been extended until Monday 26th January 2004.

Registrations are also still being taken for the postgraduate workshop.

  • If your proposal has been accepted, please submit the final version of your abstract by November 15, 2003
  • These should be submitted via email, following the guidelines for your presentation type (panel, paper, poster), to ss15@ncl.ac.uk. Please be sure to state your ID reference number.
  • If we do not receive an updated abstract from you, your original submission will be printed in the abstracts book.

Proposal outcome notifications have been sent out. However, we have experienced some problems with spam filters filtering our messages into 'junk mail' folders. If you have not yet received a reply to a proposal please email ss15@ncl.ac.uk stating your proposal ID number.

A pre-conference Postgraduate Workshop will be held on Wednesday 31st March. Spaces will be subsidised, limited, and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. A full announcement will follow on the SS15 website and via the LinguistList.

Conference Schedule:
-
Presentations at SS15 will take place on 3 consecutive days: on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 1,2,3 April 2004.
- A Postgraduate Workshop will be held on Wed 31st March.
- The conference dinner will be held on Saturday 3rd April.
- Social excursions have been organised for Sunday 4th April.
