After a first Physics Degree at the University of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Dagou graduated with a PhD in Electronics from Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand, France in 1996 before carrying out postdoctoral research at the University of Ulster (thin amorphous carbon films) and the University of Surrey (microfabrication). He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Nanotechnology & Microsystems at Durham University, with interests in nanostructured materials, micro and nanofabrication, i.e. the integration of nanomaterials (e.g. carbon nanotubes and semiconductor nanowires) in device fabrication. He is a Fellow of theInstitute of Engineering and Technology and holds a Senior Research Fellowshipawarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering/The Leverhulme Trust. He is currently contributing to six European Framework programme FP7 projects, representing more than €8.5 million. He coordinates two Marie Curie Actions international consortia, involving several academic and industrial partners.
